BTWinnerBernard Tomic capped of a great week in Burnie with a commanding performance to take out the final of the McDonald's Burnie International.

In front of a packed crowd in glorious sunshine, the rising star of Australian Tennis didn't disappoint his legions of fans.

In what was a very assured performance against a quality opponent, the No.1 17 year old player in the world proved too good on the day.

A reasonably tight first set developed with both players serving well. Tomic managed to get the crucial break late in the set and went onto hold serve to take the it 6/4. Although rallying late in the second with some big serving and comfortable holds, Greg Jones was always playing catch up after being broken early. Tomic was solid and held firm on his own service games taking out the second set 6/2 to seal the match and championship.
